Making Lifelong Learning happen: Can universities adapt?

13 Nov 2026
Main Room
Strategy & Leadership Outcomes & Impact

The Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE) represents a significant structural shift for higher education, with the potential to reshape how learners engage with universities throughout their lives. But while the ambition around flexible, modular and skills-focused learning is growing, many institutions are grappling with what implementation will mean in practice. How do we think beyond the conventional degree model to consider how lifelong learning fits into strategy, operating models, and identity? This session will explore the operational and strategic questions universities must address as the sector moves towards LLE implementation.
