Professor Deborah Youngs is Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education at Swansea University, appointed in September 2022.
She has strategic responsibility for the university’s teaching and learning portfolio, academic quality and standards, and enhancing the student experience. She has oversight of the university’s commitment to providing an exceptional educational experience to all students and is currently leading several key initiatives: curriculum transformation; embedding health and wellbeing into decision making; and advancing student skills and employability to ensure graduates have the best opportunity to thrive in their future careers.
Deborah is also a historian of late medieval and early Tudor Britain.
